How long/often should I use the PureONE?
Hydrogen is a vital nutrient and thus it’s considered more beneficial to intake hydrogen in frequent small doses rather than in a single large dose.
A good rule of thumb for “maintenance” of your body is to inhale hydrogen for 3-4 hours a week. This can be 30 minutes daily, an hour every other day, or whatever works best for your lifestyle.
Some people find benefit to doing two 30-45 minute sessions daily, some people find benefit to inhaling Brown’s gas throughout the night as they sleep. Remember to take it easy, each body responds differently.
Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see results right away.
What is the red light flashing on the back of my PureONE?
On the back of the PureONE is an hour meter. This meter only operates when your PureONE is producing gas, during which a tiny red light on the meter will blink.
How often do I need to replace the lye that’s used up?
Lye functions strictly as the electrolyte to allow electricity to flow through the water in the electrolyser. No lye is “consumed” during this process, though a very small amount does escape within the water vapour in the gas.
The PureONE requires a minimum of approximately 35 grams of lye to function. Since lye is the electrolyte that facilitates electric flow through the water in the PureONE, too little lye will mean that more voltage (higher duty%) is required to produce gas.
The PureONE starts with about 70 grams of lye, so it should be a number of years before more lye needs to be dissolved into your lye solution.
Can mold grow throughout the system?
Both oxygen and lye prevent mold growth, so one shouldn’t find mold within their bottles or connecting lines
-We’ve only seen mold caused by backwash from contaminated water in the infusion bottle
Is it okay to leave my PureONE unused?
Because lye crystallizes slowly out of solution, we recommend storing the lye separately if your PureONE is to remain unused for a long period.
- Store the lye solution in a sealable, clean glass container. Store somewhere dark and cool (UV degrades lye).
- Rinse the PureONE a few times to remove as much lye as possible, and then screw the electrolyser cap on to seal it.
